Shop policies
The fine print, in plain language.
Last updated October 10, 2026. These are the rules for quotes and decorated goods from Boise Apparel, a local shop serving the Treasure Valley, Idaho. This is our shop policy. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for a written confirmation on your specific job.
Quotes are not orders
Adding clothing to the cart, preparing a quote, or emailing orders@boiseapparel.com does not reserve garments, start production, or create a contract. An order exists only when Boise Apparel confirms it in writing — an email reply is enough — with the price, the art, the quantity, and the timing. We follow up on a request within 2 business days.
This website does not accept credit cards, debit cards, or any other payment. Do not send card numbers by email. We will tell you how to pay when we confirm the quote. Until that confirmation, the starting prices on the site are estimates only.
If we cannot do the job — because of art, clothing, timing, or anything else — we will say so. Silence is not acceptance.
Prices and sales tax
Prices shown as “from” or “starting at” include a front left chest on shirts, polos, scrubs, jackets, and jerseys, and the front on hats and bags. A full front is an extra $12 and replaces the left chest, so we credit $6. Those two cannot be combined. The back is an extra $12, and each sleeve or hat side is an extra $6. Jerseys have no sleeve prints. A reversible jersey is printed on both sides, so you choose a second set of designs and those location fees are charged again. A name on the back is included when that side already has a full back; otherwise the back fee applies. 2XL and larger cost more. Volume pricing is quoted, not guessed on the site.
The cart total is a starting estimate. It includes the clothing, any size add-on, and the location fees you picked. It does not include Idaho sales tax, shipping, rush fees, or graphic design cleanup. If a sale is taxable in Idaho, sales tax is added on the invoice. This site does not calculate tax.
A quote is good for 14 days unless we say otherwise. Clothing prices from our suppliers can move. If they do before you approve, we will tell you before we start.
Custom goods and returns
Decorated goods are made to your order. They cannot be returned or refunded just because the size, the color, or the design is not what you hoped — if it matches the proof you approved. Please order a sample when the fit matters.
Undecorated clothing that we still stock, unworn, unwashed, and with tags on, may be exchanged within 14 days of pickup or delivery. Special-order clothing is not returnable once they have been ordered for you.
If we made an error — wrong item, wrong size versus what we confirmed, damage that happened in our care, or decoration that does not match the approved proof — we will remake the affected pieces or refund what you paid for them. Tell us within 7 days of receiving the goods, and keep the pieces so we can see the problem.
Quality guarantee
If we misprint against the proof you approved, we remake our work at no charge for the decoration we got wrong.
If a print we applied cracks or peels in normal wear within 30 days, and you followed the care label, we will repair or replace those pieces. This does not cover stains, bleach, alterations, heat from a dryer you were told to avoid, or wear and tear after that window.
The guarantee covers our decoration. It does not make us responsible for a mill defect in a piece you supplied, or for clothing that fails for reasons unrelated to the mark we put on it. If we supplied the clothing and it has a mill defect on arrival, we will replace that piece if the mill still will.
Color, size, and clothing
Screens, phones, and photographs do not match ink and fabric exactly. DTF is close, not a lab match, unless you pay for a strike-off and we agree to one. Names like “navy” and “ceil blue” follow the clothing we quote, not a paint chip.
There is no single size chart. Mills differ. The sizes on this site are the sizes that piece is commonly offered in. If the fit is critical — especially scrubs — order one sample before a full run. We will send the manufacturer’s size chart for the clothing we are quoting when you ask.
“Name-brand” clothing is available when you ask. Boise Apparel is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any garment mill or logo you send us. Those names belong to their owners. We use them only to identify a product you requested.
Art, proofs, and trademarks
Art has to be print-ready in PNG format, with a transparent background, and clean. We print with DTF. We do not screen print, and we do not embroider. If the file is not print-ready — the wrong format, a background that is not transparent, stray marks, or type we have to rebuild — graphic design work is billed for that cleanup. The charge is written into the quote. Nothing is printed until you approve that quote, including the cleanup charge.
You can upload a PNG with the quote on this site. The file stays in your browser until you download it and attach it to the email. We do not receive the PNG from the upload itself. A quote with no file still needs a print-ready PNG before we can proof it.
You are responsible for having the rights to every logo, name, photo, and design you send us. That includes trademarks, copyrights, and publicity rights. A school, a clinic, a team, and a national brand can all object to a mark you do not own.
By sending art, you tell us you have the right to have it reproduced on the goods you ordered, and you give Boise Apparel permission to reproduce it for that order. You agree to cover us for a claim that comes from art you supplied and approved.
We may refuse art we believe is unlawful, infringing, hateful, or misleading. We do not run a trademark search, and our acceptance of a file is not a clearance opinion.
We send a proof before production when there is decoration. Please check spelling, colors, placement, and size. Production starts when you approve the proof in writing. An email reply counts. Changes after approval can add cost and time. If you approve a spelling error, the remake is a new job.
We may photograph finished work for the shop unless you ask us, before we shoot it, not to. We will not publish a client’s private employee list or patient information. Do not send us patient names, medical records, or other protected health information. A clinic logo on a scrub is fine. A patient list is not.
Turnaround
“3–5 business days” means business days after two things are true: you have approved the proof, and we have the clothing in hand. Weekends and shop holidays do not count. The clock does not start on a file we cannot open, a logo still “coming,” or clothing that is on backorder.
Rush is a request, not a promise, until we accept it in writing. We are not liable for delays caused by mills, carriers, incomplete art, or changes you make after approval. If a date is critical — a game, a grand opening, a hire date — tell us before you approve, and we will tell you if we can hit it.
Scrubs and specialty wear
Scrubs, jackets, and other workwear sold here are clothing. They are not medical devices, they are not sold as sterile, and they are not certified for any clinical standard unless the clothing manufacturer’s own documents say so and we have passed those documents to you.
If you need children’s sizing with a specific safety rule, say so before we quote. We will only promise what the clothing manufacturer documents. We do not add flame-retardant, high-visibility, or other safety claims of our own.
Pickup and shipping
Pickup is available in the Treasure Valley when we say the order is ready. Risk of loss passes to you when you pick the goods up, or when we hand them to a carrier. Please check the count at pickup.
Shipping fees and transit times are quoted with the job. A carrier delay is not a shop delay. We will help with a trace. We are not responsible for a box that sits after delivery.
Privacy
We do not run accounts on this site, and we do not sell personal information.
The quote cart is stored in your browser (local storage) on your device. Art PNGs you upload stay in that same browser until you download them to attach to an email. Shirts you add in Catalog studio stay in that browser until you remove them. We do not receive cart contents or art files unless you email them to us.
If you choose “Email the shop,” your own email app sends the message. We then have whatever you put in it — name, email, phone, organization, notes, and the items. We use that to reply, quote, produce, and deliver the job, and to keep ordinary business records. We don’t use it for an advertising list. We don’t ask for payment card numbers, and we don’t want them.
This site does not use advertising trackers. The cart and the catalog studio need local storage to remember your quote and any shirts you tried in the browser. That storage stays on your device. You can clear it in your browser settings.
If you emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write hello@boiseapparel.com. We will delete what we are not required to keep for taxes, a dispute, or an order still in progress. Do not send health information, social security numbers, or other sensitive data through the quote form.
Using this site
The site is for requesting quotes and reading how the shop works. Don’t misuse it, try to break it, or scrape it in a way that degrades it for everyone else. Product photos and the words on these pages belong to Boise Apparel unless a supplier’s product is pictured as undecorated clothing.
The catalog can change. A piece on the site today may be unavailable tomorrow. The confirmation email, not the webpage, is the description of your order.
Limits of liability
To the extent Idaho law allows, Boise Apparel is not liable for lost profits, missed events, or other indirect damages. If we are liable on a job, the limit is the amount you actually paid us for the affected pieces. This does not limit liability that Idaho law does not allow us to limit.
These policies follow the laws of the State of Idaho, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If a court finds one sentence unenforceable, the rest still stands.

We can update these policies by posting a new version on this page. The version that applied to your job is the one posted when we confirmed the order, plus anything we agreed in that confirmation. If a confirmation and this page disagree, the confirmation wins for that job.
Questions before you send a logo? Look at the clothing or email the shop. One piece is still a real order.
